In the fall of 1992, Allen engineered the purchase of the IBM midrange consulting practice of Baird, Kurtz & Dobson by Cornerstone Information Systems of Hopkinsville, KY.  With this start, he opened the Bowling Green office of Cornerstone and continued to serve the excellent client base acquired from BKD.  He grew the office in clients, revenue, and staff until the summer of 2002, when ABR Systems Group, LLC was formed.

Allen is a native of Bardstown, KY and a 1981 graduate of Western Kentucky University.  He began his career with the regional CPA firm of James R. Meany & Associates.  After receiving his certificate as a Certified Public Accountant, Allen began to specialize in the programming and implementation of computerized accounting systems.  Following the merger of Meany’s with Baird, Kurtz & Dobson (now BKD, LLP), Allen assumed roles of increasing responsibilities in the consulting practice of BKD.

Allen has taught classes in accounting and computer programming at Lindsey Wilson College and Western Kentucky University.  He is a member of the Kentucky Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as a member, officer, and presenter to various technical and user groups. 

Allen and his wife Pam, a teacher, are active members of Living Hope Baptist Church in Bowling Green.  They have three children, Natalie, Derek, and Nathan.
